Fantastic! That’s what revellers thought of our Christmas gig at The Lemontree in the heart of Aberdeen where the cream of Scotland’s young musical talent were on show.
The Garcias, Right Hand Left and Glasgow based Stopstarts wowed an enthusiastic crowd for Crimestoppers Scotland…and demonstrated that they are ‘in step’ with our Talk2 campaign – the Grampian-wide initiative against vandalism, wilful fire-raising and the fear that such crimes create.

The 'Startstop' all the way from Glasgow.
Local band Right Hand Left played their last gig of the year starting off the evening, and the powerful and unique sound they created had revellers dancing and calling for more.
They were followed on stage by ‘Stopstarts’ who travelled from Glasgow especially and performed amongst others their sell out debut single ‘My Watch’ and recently released’ Short Breaks’. Signed to Grace Records Stopstarts continuously plugged the Crimestoppers message and 0800 555 111 telephone number during their set and said they were “delighted to have been invited to take part”.

The Garcias rounded off with an exceptional performance interspersed with some jokes and hilarity and certainly ended the evening on a high.
Michelle Herd, project organiser for Grampian & Highlands said: “The Lemon Tree is a great venue to hold such a fantastic gig and this was the first of many events we are arranging to raise awareness of Crimestoppers Scotland”.
