Our new treasurer

The man holding the purse strings at Crimestoppers Scotland is Dumfries-based Frank Manson, a senior consulent with Armstrong Watson, a leading name in accountancy.

Frank, a keen sportsman, is a key player in a firm which boasts over 300 employees in 14 locations across the country.

He takes over from Martin J. Gill of chartered accountants PKF, a renowned authority on charity fraud.

And it's 'Goodnight' from him

Sgt Gary Ritchie's rain... sorry, rein as office manager came to an end after two record breaking years within Crimestoppers Scotland call centre/unit.

He is now back in his ill-fitting uniform (standard for each force), fighting crime in the Livingston area of Lothian and Borders Police. Our new man is Sgt Ronnie Glendinning, an officer from the MOD police.

Ronnie is a vastly experienced officer and brings with him a new and varied outlook which will keep the Unit fresh. He looks forward to the next two years, planning our continued success.

Tributes to Bill Rodger

The Board of Crimestoppers Scotland wishes to salute the late Bill Rodger (55) - a good friend and a fine sportsman who served on the Conveners' Sport Commitee which organised our annual Celeb/Am Golf tournament at Pumpherston which helped keep the charity to the fore.

Former RBS bank auditor and globe-trotting security expert collapsed and died suddenly on 26 March 2007 shortly after returning home to his family in Port Seton, Edinburgh from New Zealand.

Our best wishes go to his wife Cathie.
